People often assume communication is the ability to choose impressive words or speak with confidence. In reality, those are only the visible parts of something much deeper.
Communication is the art of transferring understanding from one mind to another.
Words are only one of its many tools.
Every conversation contains three layers: what we think, what we say, and what the other person understands. Great communication reduces the distance between those three layers.
That is why communication isn't about sounding intelligent.
It's about making understanding inevitable.
